If you buy a mac, you might want to check the prices on Amazon because there are usually mail in rebates on the computers that Apple does not offer. In some states, Apple charges a state environmental fee, as well as shipping & handling, and tax. Amazon, though, generally does not charge shipping and handling (if you select the slowest shipping) or tax. Hope this helps....

A basic MACBook starts around $1200 dollars (US). They come in black or white (not pink, though I think you can get stick-on sleeves to decorate the cases.) You might as well buy one at an Apple factory store because they are the same price everywhere (no one discounts Macs).

That all depends on which model you want. Used, refurbished or new, a G3, G4, Intel CoreDuo or an Intel Core2Duo. Intels are the latest. iBook, PowerBook, Macbook or Macbook Pro. G3s starting around $100 to Macbook Pros w/Core2Duo around $2500 for the top end. If you don't want to shop online then you will need to look for local stores that sell Macs.
