I do not think it should be used as a form of birth control. But then again. I do not have the right to tell anyone what to do. No one has the right to.

My view is based on ignorance.

Since I don't know (and haven't heard any hard scientific evidence) exactly when the soul comes into the body, I say err on the side of caution. I don't know when life begins, but I seriously doubt that it begins only when the baby takes his first breath.

To me, it's simple. We don't know, so we should err on the side of caution.

If you were in a room with a big red button, and you knew that if you pushed that button that in the next room flames would shoot out and kill everybody in there, but you didn't know if anyone was in there... would you push the button? Of course not. Even if it was unlikely there was anyone in the other room, you wouldn't push the button.

But it seems to me with abortion we do exactly that, play roulette with someone's life. You don't know whether there's a life at stake or not, so why not err on the side of caution.

That's why I don't understand our current abortion laws. It just seems arbitrary. Until we absolutely know when life begins and are able to quantify that, we should err on the side of caution.

I think it is wrong a lot of the time but sometimes it just has to be done. Like if a baby is very ill and will suffer and die after it is born anyway, I think it is more humane to abort it rather than have it go through all that.

I wouldn't ever want one....but luckily we live in America - where women have the right to choose what they do to tehir own bodies.

Also - just asking about abortion in general is very broad. There are a million different (personal)reasons on why women choose to have one

as bad as u think it is the alternatives are far worse...not just in leaving babies on doorsteps and child abuse....I promise u that abortion will still happen in this country and it wont be pretty...for those of us who can remember....there used to be "alley abortions" all the time, one reason why it was legalized....get over the ghastly nature of it; it would be far worse if it was illegal...think rationally and leave ur religion out of it.....maybe we could just not have sex and stick our heads in the sand....mmmmmm.......maybe that would work better??

I think that it's your baby, so it's your decision. I'm not going to force anyone to do anything.

Women do have the right to decide IF THEY WANT TO HAVE UNPROTECTED INTERCOURSE or NOT, but from there defending that they oughta have the right of KILLING THEIR OWN FETUS is a bit too much. It´s definatelly not the same, it´s like killing a baby, and to make it worse IT´S YOUR OWN.
