Ive used ebay to buy and sell items on for over 7 years now.. but never did any serious selling. I recently gave birth to my second daughter and my dh and I are trying to get out of debt so we can get moved into our own place again.. (living with my grandparents now and our 2 kids) So while im sitting home all day on maternity leave I would like to start selling on ebay to make extra money for bills. Whats the best way to get started? Go through the house for odds and ends to sell (ie my maternity clothes, prom dresses, bridesmaids dresses) or what? And how do people get 'lots' of maternity clothes and then sell them? Where are they getting them from at such cheap prices? Are they lucky and live near outlets with clearnance racks? Or do they buy them from companies by the pallet? Where's a good place to get started- I dont really have much money for investing into product right now (ie i cant afford to guy buy 100 dollars worth of things to sell).. And when i do where do i go?

you seems to have most of the answers already. start with what you have around the house. get others from yard sale, close-out stocks and outlet clearance.

you could try other items such as shoes, handbags, colelctors items etc.

I am a current ebay powerseller. I have done ebay over the years as a living. I have attended many seminars and rubbed elbows with Pierre Omidyar (founder of ebay) . At first I started selling stuff around the house, then I went to thrift stores (the profit is not so good) . The best luck I have had is with my current provider of the last few years. I wish you the best. Email me for support. Please visit my provider at http://minorurl.com/5d

You can probably get cheap clothes at a salvation army. I'm not sure how those would sell though. If you try buying from a discounter online, then resell on eBay that might work. Sorry for not helping any more.
