i know you said no teens but i have to ansr this just because i think u will find it informative. about a year ago in my child development class we had the newest version of baby think it over that cant be just turned off. a braclet is attached to your wrist like at the hospital. When the baby starts crying you have to scan it to make sure its you and not someone else and you have to find out whats wrong with it such as changing its diapers feeding it or whatever is wrong. It would wake me multiple times in the night and i would have to rock it for like 30 minutes or feed it for like 10 until it would be quiet. i hated it b/c i couldnt give it to anyone else. so in my opinion those things arent real but its as close to the real thing as it can get. my aunt said not even her baby was so active in the night. good luck with that

I did that in high school and it really helped me and my friends. It was fun at first if you wanted a baby but then it gets hard. We learned alot about taking care of a baby. My child's school does it and it makes it easier to teach them and yes it does scares them too. I don't know how much I would pay for one. I didn't even know you could rent a baby think it over in the first place. But if you have the money I would do it because it really helps.

I agree with Dimplez, why pay for some doll, when couples in your neighborhood need babysitting? I am a proud father, I am 19 and my son is 3 months old, I had to take care of a doll when I was 16, back in high school, and it did not prepare me for my son! You cant turn the real child off! So, no I would not purchase one.

As the old saying goes,
"A fool and his money are soon parted."
Those dolls are retarded. You're a fool if you buy one. They don't scare anybody, and a complete waste of time and money. People don't take them seriously, nor will they stop teens from having sex.
The only scare tactic I would recommend if you have a sexually active teen, or if you think they want a child, is to show them pictures of what pregnancy will do to their beautiful bodies. Believe me, teenage girls do not want that!

I had to do that in high school and it accomplishes nothing! All you have to do is stick a key in its back when it cries and make sure the head is supported. I have a child (I'm 23 though-not a teenager) and there's a lot more to taking care of a baby than sticking a key in her back. And you can shut the dolls off. There's no shutting a real baby off! Kids only took care of it because their grade in Health depended on it. If your kids dont have a grade riding on it, they're probably not going to take care of a doll.

No, you don't need to pay $450.00 for a doll that can be shut off. There are plenty of parents who need a break that you can babysit for. Let your teen babysit and assure the real parents know you will be supervising, but let the teen do everything from feeding to diapers to vomit. This will be free and more real than a doll.

I would if my child was going to get extra credit or really wants to do it, but not if the school district does not have it. But they are a very good tool for teens.

There are educational videos that show the ENTIRE birth process. You wanna scare your daughter straight, you pick up one of those videos... After that, I doub't she'd even look twice at a boy for quite a while.

I wish we would have had that in high school, and with today them wanting to take sex ed out of schools is ridiculous. I would rent that baby.
