2)Which is easier to start/play? DS
3)Which breaks easily? Not sure
4)Which gets more dirty easily (fingerprints, scratches, etc.)? PSP
5)Which do you get tired of after couple of months or in other words, which does not bore you for a long time? PSP
6)Prices of games? <=$30 for DS <=$40 PSP
7)More popular? DS
8)Which looks better? DS
I have both systems, well, the old DS. I hardly ever use my PSP. There just aren't the games out there for it. The only game I really like is Lumines (which I highly recommend)!
The touch screen of the DS adds a whole new dimension and fun to games. I absolutely love it! It is a great system. The games are a decent price, they may not be the most graphically advanced, but they make up for it in fun! The DS also has a very good wireless WiFi gaming hub. It seems there is always someone on to play! I am not aware of the online abilities of the PSP other then downloading updates and surfing the net!
The PSP does have a web browser, however it is slow and hard to use. You can keep songs and videos on it, so it can double as an iPod, but it isn;t as user friendly. The large screen and shiney finish lead to scratches and fingerprint issues. The DS will get scratched if you are not careful with the stylus. You just need light pressure on the screen for it to work. I have had my DS for over a year, and it doesn't have a scratch on the screen, and I use the stylus a lot!
The PSP is rather big, and as it is so expensive, I worry about taking it too many places. The DS is smaller and much less expensive It is also sleeker in my opinion, and the screen is protected as it closes.
As far as breaking, the DS i know has some issues with the hinge, but Nintendo is very good about taking care of you. Go to the community on Nintendo.com, and you will see how it works. Like I said, I have the old one. I have yet to have any issues with it!
I find the PSP boring. It does have very good graphics, but not the game library. I dunno. It also doesn't seem to have the wireless ability of interactive gaming like the DS does.
I would definately recommend the DS. It is an awesome system. The games are fun and the controls are unique! A couple good games to start with are Tetris DS and MarioKart. They are constantly releasing good games! Plus, it is much less expensive, so you can get the system and at least 2 games for the price of just the PSP! (The PSP also needs a bigger memory card and USB cable to really be functional, which cost money as i don't think they are part of the package!)
Have fun playing!

I definitely recommend the DS Lite.
-The DS Lite is more affordable the the PSP ($120 compared to $250)
-The DS games are cheaper ($35 compared to $50)
-Nintendo has a huge stockpile of games for the DS plus you can play GBA games on it as well
-According to GameSpot the DS has been outselling the PSP nearly 3 to 1 since the PSP came out on the market.
The DS is a great system, cheap, has great games, dual-screens, and Wi-Fi compatibility. The only down side is the fact that since the bottom screen uses touch screen technology it tends to get scratched up pretty good, however, you can purchase a protective cover for the screen that greatly reduces the number of scratches that the screen can get.
Hope this helps.

DS, if you want games. DS is also on pace to become the biggest selling handheld in Japanese history. It's alot of fun, and the touch screen is cool. Even if the game doesn't use the touch screen, the extra screen will be used so you have twice the view area. The games range about 30-35 dollars new.
