Josh McRoberts truly is overrated and a complete idiot. What is it nowadays that guys think they can go to the NBA just b/c they are 6'10 and can handle the ball. McRoberts is soft. He has some athleticism but part of the reason why Duke lost to VCU was because VCU was more athletic. McRoberts was guarded most of the game by a guy 4-5 inches shorter and could not finish on a consistent basis. McRoberts is now trying to go to the NBA and play against guys who are his size, can jump higher, run faster, and play better defense and he thinks he can be effective? I dont think so. McRoberts is also a product of Coach K's program. Duke players havent been NBA caliber players, only good at the collegiate level. Also I heard today that McRoberts and Jeff Green had similar games coming out of high school but McRoberts never developed his skills. His 3pt shot hasnt improved at all and his passing skills are not even close to Green. Stay in school McRoberts...

I'm a big duke fan, but I totally disagree with his decision to go pro. I don't really think he'll make a good pro player in the next 3 years or so. He should stay at duke and learn how to be more aggressive and a scorer. Right now he is just a okay scorer and a stat stuffer. He has a lot of potential, but I'm really shocked at him leaving right when duke is going to enter theyr'e prime. I just really wished I could've seen him become a star as a Duke Blue Devil. Maybe duke will get patrick patterson to make up for the loss of him. I was looking forward to duke being a dominate team, but after losing him a captain I'm not that sure. Duke is going to be solid in the guard spots, but I am very worried about duke forwards. Duke doesn't a real good starting forward now.

speaking as a Heels fan (GO HEELS!), I would agree that this kid was overrated coming out of high school, stayed overrated during his college years, and will go into the NBA overrated.
However..I think even the true duke fans has to see this guy as a failure...and now he is leaving you after a very poor season. How do you walk away from duke after losing to Carolina your last 2 games, losing first round in the ACC, and first round in the NCAA?
He's an idiot...and I hope he hires an agent soon..it would be a little extra icing on my Carolina Blue cake!

Noah would be the extra effective NBA participant. He performs with a ton of power, is amazingly athletic, and makes his teammates extra effective because of the fact he does not might desire to be the main appropriate scorer each night. McRoberts would be an ok NBA participant, yet his athleticism and power are actually not on the comparable point as Noah's.

Huge Duke fan here, I think he's making the wrong decision. If he would stay at Duke 4 years we would get a good education, and become a heck of alot better basketball player. Right now I just dont think he is ready.

i think Josh can be a role player, but never anything more than that. He should have stayed for at least one more year (esp. with this year's draft) and all the bigs coming out. He could have been lottery last year- mid to late first round this year.

No, I don't think he will make a good NBA player. This is a mistake on his part. Very few Dukies live up to expectations in the Pros, and he will not either.

No. Just like 80% of duke players, he will stink it for a few years and will never be heard from again.

he'll be a complete bust. He can't score in the college game. All he does is cry on the bench (which can be seen on youtube). What a waste of a pick
