I use proactive and it works great, I love it! The reason most people don't like it is because when you start using it your acne will get a little worse before it gets better, this is because the proactive is pulling all of the imprities in your skin to the surface, once everything is out it keeps it clear. Most people quit using it right away when they see their skin getting worse but you should really try it for at least 2 weeks straight before you make any jusdgements just like any other cleanser. If you have super sensitive skin I would recommend using it everyother day and use a good moisturizer. Good luck!

Acne has been an issue for centuries... in 2005 researchers found and restored and old copy of a manuscript that states putting the blood of dead dogs on your face would help acne... Also, in china it is really big to put your own urine on your face... I know this sounds crazy but it is true, check out the links. Up until the early 90's people thought that acne was caused by eating chocolate and greasy foods. All of this is bull!
We I was a kid they had something called 'retinea', I used it for a little while, and the only scars I have from acne were where i used the medication.
What is the point? Acne happens... it happens to a lot of people, even movie stars and models, and if you just keep your face clean, it will eventually go away. Most peoples acne goes away by the time they are in college. Some people have way worse problem, usually related to hormones and need help from a doctor. Just keep your face clean, and live healthy... It will go away, unless you have a big problem. Look at your parents, they probably had it to. Always looking for an answer in a pill or cream is not healthy, you are human, have hormones, going through puberty, whatever. Give it some time.
BTW Please give me the 10 points I really need them, I am almost level 2... Hook it up!

Proactive DoES work very well, and it prevents acne from happening again. Clearasil works great too.
Acne Free is okay, but it depends on your skin type. It didnt work very well for me. Theres this acne solution at Zoey's called Dermologica that works very well. It might also depend on your shampoo or your makeup. Once I swtiched shampoo to a less moisturizing shampoo, my acne disappeared not too long after. and when I started using BareMinerals, my acne was gone as well. Now I barely have to use any acne clearing products.
Good luck.

I'm 13 too and I used Proactive. It didn't work for me. It just made it worse. But everyone says that's what happens to make it better. Now I use Clean & Clear wash off cream. It deep cleans really well. Good Luck!!!

my best friend has severe acne where it leaves her face scared.. she started using it her senior year in high school, shes now 21 and has no acne, her skin looks alot better.. its not a miracle or anything but its good stuff... i'd suggest going to a derm. first and ask them what they think you should try.. see what they say about it.. i dont have bad acne but i noticed that mary kay velocity works wonders.. also a hint: if you do get a pimple, put plain ole' white toothpaste on it overnight and it will make it go away and reduce swelling and redness.. good luck!!! if you have more questions you can email me..

Well it kind of depends on the person. I am a teenage and have been using acne for about 2 years. It works great to get rid of pimples that you already have(with the face mask). But it does allow you to get sun burnt and have more sensitive skin. But I like it personally...
I say, just try it!

I hate to say it but it is one of those things that you have to try for yourself. It works differently for different people. My sister used it and had pretty much no change in her acne, she has pretty bad acne. But I know people who use it and have had great results. AcneFree is probably less expensive and easier to get though.
