It's between the two of them honestly.
If she's staged early and the treatment has a 95% success rate, she probably WANTS him to campaign. If, however, they said she was a Stage IV with only 6 months to live, well, then, no.
I believe, though, they said she's highly treatable. I don't see anything wrong with him taking it day by day.

The campaign may provide her with something to look forward to and to focus on, rather then just curling up at home to cancer. I think as long as they are both in agreement of his running for president, then it's OK. They are trying to make the best of the situation and hoping for the best possible outcome - that she will beat the cancer. I like the answers who said it is simply something they had to decide between the two of them.

He should stay home and take care of her. I am a democrat who supported him, but now I cannot swallow this cavalier attitude. His wife needs him now more than ever, and he will be absent on the campaign trail. Shame!

No. How could he possibly give her the love and support she will need if he is on the road? If he did run, I that alone would make me vote for someone else. He should do the right thing and stick by his wife's side. She's going to need him.

He dropped out before because she had cancer. I'm sure that they discussed this thoroughly and made the decision together, so he should stay in the race - until he gets beat out.

i'm apolitical, but she stands behind his decision and supports him. therefore, having her consent, he should continue.
