Is it normal to cramp about 3 weeks before your depo shot is due?

Last night I was cramping really bad like I was going to start my period but I am not because I am on the depo shot. Is that normal? My next depo is due April 18.

When I was on Depo, I used to get that not long before my shot was due. The first time, I went to the ER (big mistake because I was there all night) and they found nothing wrong. The second time, I was able to get in to see my gyno, and after some tests and an ultrasound, he said the same thing; I was fine. I think it's just a side-effect that pops up close to the time you're due for the next shot.

If it's bothersome, try a heating pad; that always works for me.
