I think it is a politician's job to run for public offices, but, and I have deepest sympathy for his stricken wife, to have her by his side during campaigning seems questionable. People attending his campaign will mostly only think of her terminal condition, due to her impending 'death'. So, I believe that when I see a candidate, I want to think about the state of our union and what he and other candidates will say and do for our country. I want the candidate to be focused on his future, desired job as president of us US people and the future of our nation and government. Doesn't he understand that's the key to the presidential job? Realistically, getting votes on sympathy is not so good in my opinion, but, am I missing something? Not only that, but she will be the worse for the strenuous and difficult emotional stress of a campaign.

The press conference was held today to get the sympathy support. Edwards is behind in the polls; getting national spotlight on his wife's health is a ploy for sympathy support. If all that really needed to be done was answer the question: Will he be pulling out of the race because his wife's cancer has returned?, that could be answered on his website & didn't need a televised press conference.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to question his motive for going public with their unhappy news.
First of all, she does not have a death sentence over her head. Second, they are not going on sympathy. I knew that would come up, but I figured it would be on Fox News!!! You always see the candidate with their spouses at appearances. Can you imagine the rumors if all of a sudden she was not by his side. Shame on anyone who thinks this is a sympathy movement.

I purely knew that each physique of those comments might start up!!! How can all people even think of this could be a exposure stunt. he's on the marketing campaign path; he needs to describe why his spouse is hastily not via his part. How might we react to work out her interior the subsequent month bald!!!! might human beings think of she shaved her head as a thank you to get votes!!!!!!!!!!

To show the american voters that she is strong willed and supportive of her husband.
I feel bad for that family, having a son die so young and now a cancerous wife.

She is not terminal. The cancer is not curable, but is very treatable. She will have to take medication and chemo, but should be fine.
