How many inches off the state highway does the state own?

I live next to the state highway and I need to know who can come and fix my driveway that is next to the state highway, the County or the state department

It might vary depending on the state, but probably none. Rather than owning it outright, they probably have an easement where you still own the land but cannot build on it.

its many feet from the actual road that they own.many countys make you fix your own driveway.unless its damaged by the county are state.i wish you the best on that
