I believe that corruption is the reason why India isn't a developed country yet. I believe the government doesn't spend enough money on infrastructure and more important things such as poverty and disease. I believe that if the goverment did, India would be developed already. Thankfully the Indian residents are quite smart. India has a leading I.T sector and infosys is also big time. India also has the largest film and music industry. People in India go to malls, clubs, bars, restaurants, and movie theaters. Therefore I don't think the people are the problem, the government is. Am I correct? The government doesn't spend enough money on developing the nation but instead spend it on other issues which aren't that important

I am sure these concerns are pertinent, but one must take into account that there is corruption in all govermental systems.

Actually, when you look at the statistics, India has come a long way. Since freeing itself from British opression it has quadrupled its literacy rate, for example.
