Okay so I was friends with this girl and she randomly got mad at me one day and never told me why. Now she's been talking behind my back and telling people lies about me and calling me a fat @$$. She even convinced one of my friends to go on "her side". But then today the girl she corrupted apologized to me and I forgave her and says that my xfriend was planning on apologizing too but she got sick and I didnt see her today. I dont know if I should forgive her for everything she's done. She made school miserable for me. Should I just put the past in the past?

Ask her why she did it before you make any decisions. If she has no answer for you tell her that isnt good enough. It means she has a mean streak in her and will probably do it again.

This is a question I've been asking myself. I never had any friends, but made one over the summer. Eventually, his old friends became part of our group, but one didn't like me, turned him against me, and then the whole group turned against me eventually. Now, I'm without friends again, but I'm not sure if I will be wise enough to stay away from them if they call me again, since I have no other friends.

I say, if you do have other friends, and can afford to let these two go, by all means do. I mean, try and see if they really regret it or if it could possibly happen again.

Well, I'd give her the chance to apologize, see what she has to say and find out why she did what she did. If her demeanor later doesn't change (her attitude) then it's time to put HER in your past and move on. I've come across people later in life who either did things to me or were nasty for no reason and did apologize, but I realized they had nasty streaks in them anyway, so that made my decision for me =) I have no problem getting rid of people like that. It is what it is.

Yes, forgive her, that would be the right thing to do, because you don't want more trouble from her at school, and you don't want to make any enemies. BUT, although you're making her believe everything is ok with you guys, you should still be on your guard. Trusting her is the last thing you want to do right now, unless she proves othewise, being a real sincere friend. Be friends, just don't be close for the time being. :)

What are you gonna do?? Be mad at her forever and make yourself sick over it? Just let it go! Try to find out why she did it. I'm not saying you should be best friends with her, but be the better person. It takes way too much time and effort to hold a grudge! I'm sure you have better things to do!

Think about it. Give her a second chance, but one time I had a friend who was nice/mean on and off. It really confused me. Tell her this is another chance but if she is on and off nice/mean, then end the friendship.
