actually a t-shirt back in the day (like greek ages) was called a tunic for men and a tunica for woman. as fashion progressed it eventually got called a t-shirt because when worn it has a similar shape of the letter T.

I know this answer! It was on a wksh i had to do for school and i got it right. T-Shirt is a short verison of writing Tee shirt. "Tee" is the right word for the abbreviation "T"
