ok let me rephrase my question because I got a lot angry feed back
Im a black 16 1/2 year-old
I feel that blacks should be given some kind of reperation for what happend because we were never given it. I know that all the whites who did all the bad things I speak of are dead. BUT we are in 2007 so its quite ovuis that we will not be geting it. also
about death pictulary that of whites, blacks and all other races I normaly dont care when it happens unless it happens to alot of people . to anwser one persons question
my form of reperations that should be given to us is enugh money to bring the majority of blacks out of poverty, some support to change or even get rid of rap music and some goddamn respect.
I am sick and tired of black people haveing to over come this overcome that but never retaliate openly about what we have to overcome or were racist. so in conclusion regardless of the past I dont feel bad when whites die i dont want you to die but if you do then ok.

had the most reasonable response so far yes we would be geting our own money back but if we were given our reperations when we should have we would not be giving ourself the money we already have. im just upset that no one really got the whole point of my question. because blacks were tossed aside after slavery and had to gain things like affarmitive action and all black schools and stuff like that all by our damn selfs people feel as if we have given our own reperations but we had to fight for it unlike the jews and asians of ww2 which if any one noticed they got. this brings me to the conclusion that this whole country doesnt feel sorry for what happens to its people all they have to do is wait for time to pass and it will become taboo, another joke for chris rock to tell the only reason white people call me racist is because the have underlling feelings about the past as well and only get involved when it effects them directly for a change thus exposing a common pattern

Bollocks. I say give money to education and repair the system, especially in poor areas where a lot of blacks still reside.

Noone willingly gives away the sum of money u are talking about i.e to give every black person that had slave ancestors enough money 2 get him out of proverty. I think that there were some apology given by the English for slavery.
Maybe someone can bring a class action suit for blacks. Seeing that u brought the subject up, u can do it.
About rap music, I always thought that it was invented by blacks. Why should whites give support 2 blacks 2 change or get rid of something that blacks invented?
I agree with the first part of the last paragraph of your "question" but will not dare touch the last part.

Where would these reparations come from? Do you realize that they would cause a lot of resentment and probably not solve all your problems? Do you realize that if reparations were made, wealthy whites would probably be much less likely to ever support any anti-discrimination or minority assistance programs in the future?
In other words, if you get paid off for the suffering of your ancestors, you better make darn sure you never ask for or complain about anything ever again.
I agree that poverty-stricken blacks (and whites) need help, but I don't think that dropping a load of cash in their lap is going to solve all their problems. We should definitely be spending more money on helping these people, but there are better ways to do it than to buy everyone in the hood a new Mercedes. I'd rather see us spending a lot more money on significantly higher teacher salaries, smaller schools, smaller classes, better educational tools and programs, and more scholarships for disadvantaged students in poverty-stricken areas.
I don't see what your feelings about dead people you don't know have to do with it one way or another.

I dont believe we should just be handed money, because, a lot of the times it will go to something worthless anyway. Put some money in schools and after school and mentoring programs in impoverished areas.
As far as getting rid of rap music. That makes no sense. people need to realize that music of all kinds are meant to be nothing more than a form of entertainment. Not guidelines as to how to live your life.
And, there is plenty of positive rap music out there. But, that is not what is making the record executives money right now... so that is not what they spend time promoting. Maybe you should do some more research in that department. Try Dead Prez, or even M-1's solo album. I bet you'd like it given the tone of your question.

Well..I personally don't think reparations should be made. Bad things happen to all people whether they're black (Africa) or white (European Jew). It'd be nice if no one lived at poverty level but its unrealistic in every society but a communist one. Plus, the blacks and most jews weren't arround to be affected. Also, where would this money come from? Tax dollars? Well, then you'd be getting your own money back. Plus, most white people in America today weren't around during the slavery time...or their ancestors weren't. I feel for the poverty...but hopefully our government will get wellfare into gear and the people who really need it will get it. I hope I didn't sound like a *****...but yeah.

I sort of understand where your coming from though I don't fully agree. I don't think your racist, I only feel bad when family members die, other than that when people die it does not affect me.
I honestly do not believe reparations would any good and it is a very unrealistic "solution". As I said before, simple equality for other races make a lot of white people angry, just think of what would happen if they had pay us.

While I think that you are completely entitled to feel how you feel, I will say this: I read your "question" several times, trying to make sense of it. Are you asking if you are racist because you don't feel bad when whites die? If you feel bad when anyone but a white person dies, then I supposed that can be perceived as being racist, but your "question" is all over the place. You can get a decent answer if you could phrase your "question" properly, meaning grammatically correct.
"my form of reperations that should be given to us is enugh money to bring the majority of blacks out of poverty, some support to change or even get rid of rap music and some goddamn respect."
**^^^That is a prime example^^^*** How can you demand respect if you can't write properly? You speak the way you write.
Some blacks are in poverty due to unforeseen circumstances, some are not. Should those blacks who choose to run up thier credit cards, and spend recklessly, and save nothing be entitled to get money to get out of the poverty that they put themselves in? That's not fair to the person who is poor due to job layoffs, or a major illness in the family, or a death in the family or any situation that is completely out of their control. Better yet, where is the reperation money supposed to come from? As for getting rid of rap music? Never going to happen because too many people are making money off
of it, black and white. You have to give respect in order to get it. It's just not handed to you, it must be earned.
"I am sick and tired of black people haveing to over come this overcome that but never retaliate openly about what we have to overcome or were racist. so in conclusion regardless of the past I dont feel bad when whites die i dont want you to die but if you do then ok."
You are 16 1/2 years old. What have you had to overcome? Now if this was your parent(s) talking, then that's different. Being a black teenager in the 50's, 60's and 70's was way harder then, then it is now. You get to go to school (and not need an armed guard to enter the building), better yet, you can go to a HS of your own choosing in pretty much any neighborhood. You can ride the bus and sit wherever you like. You can hang out with your friends at the mall and shop wherever you want. No one is hosing you down, trying to get police dogs to attack you or mobs of people wanting to kill you for wanting to have a better life. That's a lot to overcome, isn't it? No, things are not perfect for blacks now, but they are way better than what they were. Can we make more strides? Of course, but black folks need to stop being comfortable with the way things are now and demand equality the RIGHT way. Get educated, start owning your own business, speak and write properly....so forth and so on. Yes, Malcom X intially advocated "by any means necessary", but even he changed his mind and wanted non-violent ways to get our points across. It's okay to be angry, but instead of complaining about the problem, what are you doing to fix it? You are proving a lot of these internet bigots right by blaming the white man for blacks shortcomings. As Bill Cosby said, blacks need to take responsibility too.

Reperation?? Do you know what would happen if all the blacks were given "reperation" for what happened to their ancestors? Look at what happened when tons of blacks were given money for hurricane Katrina recovery. Remember that? Money was being used for everything BUT recovery. You don't deserve anything. You deserve to go to work and earn your own living just like every other American. Get over yourself..grow up!!

We weren't the only ones going through what we did. We shouldn't just get reparations when others aren't. It'll be useless now. Where's the proof that we are ancestors of slaves for a certain family. I recently found out that though I'm black, my family was very rich and they owned slaves when all this time I thought they were slaves.

you don't need no one to pay us anything, we as black Americans today didn't go threw that, live for today, not what happen 100 years ago, the way you overcome things is by getting the best education you can get and make your self successful, today in America, we do have some lazy black people, but guess what, it's not because of white people, it's because of their own self, I grew up in Alabama, the most racist place, and guess what, those people did not effect me not one bit. i live my life like i want, not what happen 100 years ago, i can care less what any one thinks of my color, stop worrying about white people, you don't need there approval for nothing, do the best for your self.. and believe me, I don't let my son who is 14 listen to rap either. because rapping about shooting, drugs, or abusing women is not learning. again baby, get your education, that's the way to pay your self. please take care of your self and don't have hate because you are to young. people are going to be stupid no matter what, and you can't change that, live for your self and that's all
