I'm not sure what is meant by "early atmosphere" so I left it out. It could fit almost anywhere on the list and be correct. In order to put it in an exact place you would need to define what kind of early atmosphere you are talking about. The hydrogen was the first atmosphere - then volcanoes put lots of water vapor, carbon dioxide, and ammonia atmosphere -- then the photosynthetic bacteria/algae put tons of oxygen into the atmosphere. The oxygen reacted with the ammonia to release lots of nitrogen (which was already present, but didn't dominate the atmosphere like it does today), and also after the oxygen started to be pumped into the atmosphere an ozone layer appeared. This ozone layer protected the earth's surface from much of the sun's UV radiation and made life outside of the oceans possible for the first time. It was after the formation of the ozone layer that plants first appeared on land.

You can thank the ocean's blue-green algae for the oxygen rich atmosphere that we live in. Without those guys you would not exist.

Volcanism releases massive amounts of water vapor and other gases which create our ozone layer and created the oceans, algae grew and created our early atmosphere which in turn helped to sustain plant life and ocean life.
