Best 60's song ever probably would have as many answers as there are people who answer of course. But it's hard to see how "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" wouldn't be in anyone's top ten. That song always sounds great, still gets played a lot, just never sounds old. A true classic!

I have a few faves my slightly-hippie boyfriend sent me.

The Rain Song- Led Zep (absolutely the best!)
Loving You is Sweeter than Ever- The Band
Dedicated to the One I Love- The Mamas and the Papas

In addition, ignoring my favoritism, the Beach Boys are pretty much the most amazing band to ever exist. Hope I helped a wee bit!

I have to agree with Savannah’s comment above. Zeppelin rules..!!

Plus maybe some Grand Funk – “I’m Your Captian”

Oh and don’t forget Yes – “Roundabout” and “Mood for a Day”

Oh and maybe some Blue Oyster Cult – "Don’t Fear the Reaper” – “I gotta have more Cowbell”

Anything by CSN will do as well.

Spirit in the sky, by Norman Greenbaum, the one hit wonder, but its one of my favorites, and is Love Hurts, by Nazareth considered a love song?
