Perhaps try this site for some advice. I used to use this when I was looking for lodging in south lake tahoe that let people have dogs.

I actually did a little more foot work and was able to find the page listing dog friendly places. Scroll down to Restaurants which is about two thirds down the page.

If you look at the department of healths website in your area, they can tell you where pets are and aren't allowed.

From my experiences i know that most stores, including saks fifth avenue, sephora, sears and even the mall allow dogs and welcome them with open arms-- we took my german shepard all around san francisco and many stores we went into even had pet treats. I'm not sure about the resturants because of cleanliness issues, but if they have the same attitude as the rest of the bay area then it should be ok-- as long as she isn't loud, running all around, bothering people and pooping on the floor!

Reguardless, if the resturant does not allow pets in the main dining area i am sure they have some kind of accomadations for your pet-- maybe a back room where they will "pet sit" etc... GOOD LUCK!

The Department of Public Health will shut down any restaurant that allows pets inside.

I think there may be some places in California but from what I understand the dogs must be in the outdoor dining area only.
