Maybe cause it would look retarded if people were going around shaking ketchup packets. ??? I dunno.
I always squeeze each end a few times to get it all mixed up. I get so grossed out by the runny watery crap that comes out first if you don't.

the packets need to be squeezed, but if they put that on, people would get too confused and might end up killing someone on accident.
