Hartlepool, there nickname is "The Monkey Hangers"
they even have a mascot called "Hangus The Monkey"
it dates back a couple of hundred or so years when a french ship called into hartlepool and the Captain had a pet Monkey, the locals didn't know what the hell it was and thought it was a french spy so they hung it.

Hey, Bangor in the Irish League are known as 'The Seasiders' probably long before Blackpool or Brighton.
My father played for Bangor (Co Down) back in the 1930's and as his teammate took a corner kick, he headed a low flying seagull into the net!

I'm a Man Utd fan but have always liked Everton's nickname 'The Toffees' and their badge is pretty cool too. Close up would be Bury - The Shakers .... What a funky name!!!
