How come some wrestlers violate the program and still manage to keep their push (i.e. Randy Orton, Adam "Edge" Copland), but others gets suspended or fired out the company?

Because the WWE "Wellness Programm" is a farce. It was only done to calm down the media.
McMahon suspends people from time to time to prove how serious he takes his programm, but he does not really care. He'd never suspend or fire a topcarder. He even knew that RVD smokes pot, but he didn't suspend him, because the fans like him. He suspended him when he was caught by the police, but everybody knows that Rob smokes it. McMahon is a wonderful example of hypocrisy and double standard. Scott Steiner often tells us a great story about this: When he was in WWE, McMahon told him he'd be tested for roids. Scott answered him: "Allright, I'll do the test, as soon as HHH does a test as well!" He was never asked to do a test again!

If you're referring to those guys' drug use in... 2005 or 2004 (i can't remember) well they didn't get fired because during that time period, the WWE didnt have their little Wellness Program. Also, if the athlete agrees to go to rehab once they get caught using (i.e. Eugene), they also will not get fired. If anyone happens to get fired over a situation like that, it's probably because the WWE sees them as being expendable and not worth dealing with.

You're talking about the SI report?

Those events happened BEFORE the program was instituted, so they can't be punished for it.

However, they'll probably be screened more and WWE already said that the scheme that SI uncovered would be considered a violation if it happened again.

Yeah, if they are in the process of a push it'll hurt the company to punish them TOO severely. . .look at HBK with the incident at the garden with Diesel (Nash), Razor Ramon (Hall), and HHH hugging with them being faces and heels. Shawn wasn't punished because he was the champion.

doesn't anybody remember the last time a scandal over steroids happened. it was 1994, Vince McMahon almost went to jail, Hulk Hogan betrayed Vince by testifying and also jumping to WCW at the same time.

The WWE didn't sign the zero degree drug policy until 2004 and all this illegal drug use took place prior to the wellness contract.
