What's the difference between misses and petites?

The size range is the same. I.E - size 2,4 6,8 but petite pants are made for women at 5'4 and under. The leg shaft is shorter and the rise is smaller. Petite tops,jackets,etc...are made with the sleeve and body shorter. Hope that answered your question.

Petites is made for woman 5'5 and under. The sizing is the same the length in the waist, sleeves & legs is shorter. Misses is cut at the same length as women only is it designed for someone younger. It tends to be the go between from jrs. and women..like mid 20's to 30's or so.

Misses is just regular sizing for non petite or plus size. Petite is for shorter people (5 ft 4 and under, I believe)

Juniors is odd sizes 3,5,7 etc.
Misses is even sizes 2,4,6 etc.
Women's is 16,18,20 etc.
Petites is usually the same as Misses but pants inseams are usually 30" or shorter. Tops will all be shorter all the way around.
Just remember not all designers have the same standards of size that another designer has. A medium in Calvin Klein may not fit the same as a medium in Ralph Lauren.

petites are for women who are short. And misses clothing tend to be more trendy but do not fit into the Juniors sizes.

Petites are for people who are short..under 5'5" I believe. Misses is just regular women's clothing. And as a bonus "women's" usually means plus sized.

I am a petite and from my understanding petites are 5'3" and under in stature. Petite does not indicate weight, only stature.
