The actors that play the Harry Potter Weasely twins, are they identical twins? {{the actors yes, not the characters}} Does anyone know? And I don't mean do they look identical, obviously they do, but are they identical twins as in the same DNA? Thanks.

Ok. I know they're twins, sorry for the confusion. I was just wondering if they're identical or fraternal? The Olsen twins look alike but they're fraternal. But what about Oliver and James?

i was watching the bonus features of the 2nd movie and it showed an interview with oliver and james phelps (fred and george weasley, the harry potter twins) and they were asked about how the casting was and they said that tonly identical twins were casted so that means they must be identical. hope it helps.

How do people even know if twins are identical, anyway? A lot of babies look identical at birth, and other factors can change the way a person looks - eg, what they eat, how much they exercise, whether they were dropped on the head as a baby (hope not), whether they were kicked in the head by their twin when they were in their mothers stomach, whether one hogged all the mothers nutrients.... I guess the only way to be a 100% sure is to have a DNA test.

They seem identical to me but I also remember when in one of the movies that they tried to trick their mom

yes they are twins. they are two different people who are twin brothers.
