I play yahoo games and there is an individual who acts like an internet "bully." He seems to be quite adept at booting people from lounges, etc. He has threatened to hack me and I believe he might have the ability. What defense might I take to prevent this(software) and if I have captured his threats to boot and hack into me, to whom can I send the threat where action (regarding both yahoo and other interested parties) will be taken if succeeds.

No hacker is going to tell you that they will hack your pc.

If you have a good firewall, all of your Windows critical updates, antispyware and antivirus you will be fine.

Here is a link to a really state of the art technology that is 100% free and runs in the background to protect you against what is known as "zero day attacks", and jackass like the person you are dealing with. Blocks millions of malware from all over the world.

I have it in two of my computers. If you like what you read install the program as it is free. Myself I would not be without this software.

There is no conflict with any security programs that you may be running.

First real Hackers don't engage in malicious activities or, threaten People what your dealing with is a script kiddie these guys are small fish with limited or no skills at all they
can launch denial of service attacks, they can portscan and run tools made by experinced attackers who release them on warez sights but they are not programmers or
have an extensive knowledge of Computers.

The Police have cyber crime units but I think they have better things to do than run after Johnny Script Kiddie.....

Here's what you can do:

1) Make sure your Computer is up to date with the latest
Patches

2) Make sure you have a router or a strong firewall to block
attacks and incoming hostile traffic

3) Make sure your Antivirus is up to date

4) Change your id in Yahoo and stay away from him like
don't encourage him.

5) Make sure your Computer has strong passwords
