i need to know haw many men (germen and american) were killed on D-day........a website would be nice try not to use .com

There is no absolute count, but this source indicates there were approximately 9.000 allied casualties, 3,000 of which were fatal.

This site breaks down the figures for US, UK and Canadian forces and has figures for each of the beaches.

I do not know of any exisitng German records, but they tended to keep good records. The information is probably available somewhere.

Overall numbers for Battle of Normandy (D-Day to August 25)

United States: 29,000 dead, 106,000 wounded and missing;
United Kingdom: 11,000 dead, 54,000 wounded and missing;
Canada: 5,000 dead; 13,000 wounded and missing;
France: 12,200 civilian dead and missing

Germans:
23,019 dead (KIA only), 67,060 wounded,
198,616 missing[4]
