No cos they make you sign a disclaimer before the op that says basically they arent to blame if the op is ineffective.

Absolutely not , sterilisation is not 100% effective , when i went to see my gynae regarding being sterilised he told me that out of every 200 women sterilised one baby will still be born .. i know a couple of women who have been sterilised but went on to have another baby ! It hasn`t put me off though i am due to go into hospital soon for this procedure .

I have been sterilised but before the operation I had to sign a disclaimer that says that the hospital is not responsible

my friend was sterilised at 42 after she put on loads of weight they thought she had a sist so they sent her for a scan and tops up that she was preg they sterilised her at 15 weeks pregnant not only was she shock at being pregnant it was twins lololol before she had the op they made her sign a form and in small print it does state that they are not liable for things like that to cover themselfs.

When i had mine done i asked if they would cut my tubes THEN seal them. They said because i was under 30 i might change my mind later on and therefore just put the clamp on. I said if i was to get pregnant whilst i had the clamp i would sue. The doctor said that would be my choice.....

No, the hopital is smart and protects itself against things like that. There is always a chance that something can be ineffective that the hospital does.

No. The papers you sign before the op state that the operation is not 100% sucessful.
