There are no color changes. He just seems to not have an appetite and just lets himself settle on the bottom of the tank.
I've been observant the past 3 days and i tried feeding him peas to no avail. I don't wann lose him. Shoud i just observe him and try to feed him more peas?

Adding Salt to the tank ?? it's a fresh water tank of 50Gallons .. with 5 gold fish how much salt would i add and how often ? and why ? are they not fresh water fish ?

First of all, don't add salt to your tank. Goldfish are freshwater fish and salt is not needed in your tank.
You have a fantail, what is the tank temperature? it should be anywhere between 55-65. Also, he is being lethargic due to not enough dissolved oxygen in the tank. Try dropping the water level in the tank 1/2 inch or so. this will allow the filter to dump water and much needed O2 into the tank.
Also, what are your water quality readings ? Check for ammonia and nitrates.

Listlessness like that is often a sign of something wrong with the water chemistry. Give him a good water change and change the carbon in your filter and see if that helps.

there's not much you can do about a sick fish...just put some medicine in and hope it gets better...

GOLDFISH ARE BRACKISH WATER FISH YOU KNOW.... HAVE YOU PUT SALT IN THE TANK? THE SALT RIDS THE TANK OF ALOT OF ICK AND OTHER WATER PRONE DISEASES OF GOLDFISH.
