carr, green, they both hand the ball off to LJ the same.

I think the Chiefs will end up trading Green. Carr may be a good fit but I read somewhere that Herm Edwards wants to give the young QB a shot.

I think you might be over-estimating Carr's ability, but that's only because I've suffered through seemingly countless losing seasons with Carr in Houston..
Honestly, I would love to see Carr go to another team and dominate. KC is a good choice: Green's too old and fragile, and Huard - nobody's really sure about his ability. The main problem with Carr is that he is so shell-shocked after 249 sacks in Houston, that he has trouble remaining cool under pressure. If nothing else, if Carr get's frightened, he can at least hand off to LJ until they can bring in the defibrillator on 3rd down for a passing play. That's a luxury Carr never had in Houston - it was hard for Carr to make a clean hand-off to Ron Dayne with Dayne always eating a meatball sub.

Brodie Croyle is the future of the Chiefs. Whether that will pan out or not is uncertain but it is definitely the direction they are leaning. David Carr is 28 years old and will want to be in situation in which he has the oppurtunity to start and be the long term starter. Where ever he goes, he will need to renegotiate his contract which gives him the oppurtunity to be picky if there are multiple teams interested. I doubt the Chiefs will be on that list. Herm Edwards does not appear to be the type of coach who puts a lot of stock in the QB position anyway. He seems to be a run first type of coach. I expect to see Huard start this season and Croyle starting either late this season, if they are not in the playoff hunt, or taking over in 2008.
Carr will end up in Oakland, Miami, or Minnesota.

I would trade away Green yes and pursue Carr.Carr is a good QB,he just was surrounded by sissy offensive line men who could learn how to block if they wanted to.Let Dolphins have the aging Green who will be out of NFL in 2 years, while Chiefs get a QB that can still last at least 6 more years without bad injuries.

As a Texans fan since their birth, I would not wish David Carr upon anyone. Trent Green is not the long term solution at QB, but Carr is not the anyterm solution for anything.

you kidding me? Croyle? He shoulda been drafted in the 4th or 5th, he is limited as a passer but has great leadership and thats about it... And you wanna talk about his injuries? I would take Carr if I could get him, KC has a good O Line and Carr could do a great job there, especially if they throw the ball downfield with Sammie Parker and Dante Hall, even tho they are not very good recievers, they should try to add some young guys like Dewayne Jarrett or another wideout like Ted Ginn, try to add David Carr and work on the defense and this offense wouldnt have to run the ball 400 times a season...

Cannot believe you Cheifs fans think that Green is a bum after he has been to the pro bowl for you guys, what? 2-3 times? It is ridiculous how it is you are treating a very good player, especially for Carr... Who, granted has not ever had an offensive line, which in all actuallity, may be a good move due to in recent years, the Cheifs have had a very good offensive line. So, I don't know, nor care... But its taking a risk that sounds like most people would want to take because you're all sick of Green.

A Houston radio station is reporting that Carr has already been traded, presumably to the Raiders.
I'm still awaiting confirmation, but Carr does have a history with new Raiders coach Lane Kiffin dating back to his days at Fresno State, where Kiffin was a coach on the staff

I would pick up Carr. He would probably do well in an offense that has a running and an o-line that will protect him. Green should be traded while they can still get something for him.

the chiefs would be a good fit for carr
it would be nice to see what he can do behind a good line
but that would be an experiment though
me I think Carr is kinda like green in that he can be good but not great
