Always shave in the direction that the hair grows, Also try using a mens razor like the mach 3 for men it also vibrates which pulls the hairs up as it cuts to get a smoother feeling. Always moisturize after with a non-scented lotion.

Go to walmart and get the shave gel that's made for bikini area. Go with unscented lotions to put on after you shave. Make sure your razor is not dull. Soap and water isn't as good as shaving cream. Aveeno makes a really cool shave cream that's designed for avoiding razor burn. Go with products that are dermatologist recommended, and avoid perfumy junk.
You can also shave less often by trimming more often with those nifty little bikini line trimmers. Trimming doesn't leave razor burn like a razor does. And you can get that stuff pretty short.
Make sure you give the hot water time to soften the hair & skin before you shave. Make it the last thing you do in the shower.

i've found that when i shave and i come out of the shower i get cold and thats when i get the rash! there is two things> one use a men's razor that has like 4 blades! i mean think about it they use it on the face so it has to be good! and then when you shave under hot water make sure you dry very well! so that way you don't get the bumps from being cold! also you might want to use some kind of power! it works for my pubic area!

Ive always wondered this too. Never found a solution, the only thing that works for me is to only shave once a week, which isn't ideal, i like to be neat always but this doesn't seem possible. No rash AT ALL though if you leave it longer between shaves.

Although it doesn't prevent it completely, using cream and after shave gel helps reduce it.

use a new razor and shave along the root of the hair toward the direction it grows.........do not use soap, use a body conditioner, or shower gel. soap is too abrasive and is too dry on your skin.......put lotion on it after you shave and try not to wear panties for 24 hours........anymore questions
