You don't sorta need him for anything. Leave him alone. If you continue your attempt to remain "friends" it will appear you are trying to steal him away even if you aren't. But I suspect that is your subconscience reasoning.

So far youve done absolutely nothing wrong but I'm sure the girlfriend would not appreciate it if you kept talking to him. She let you off pretty easy since most girl friends would have done worse... so if you absolutely need to see him make sure its in public... this guy is probably not going to want to upset his girlfriend any more than he already has and you probably dont want to do the same either so having a close friendship may be out of the question.. unless this all blows over. Good luck!

Nothing to forgive, you didn't do anything wrong.
The girlfriend seems cool, so call on her again, say you are still kind of embarrassed about the whole thing, and you still like XXX as a friend and explain that you still need his help on the med school entrance exam, and would she talk to him and see if everything is still OK between them - as friends - and between the two of you - as friends?
I know that I always advocate direct and open communication, - but sometimes intercessory advocacy is the better approach. Good luck.
I'm pulling for you.

Sure you can be friendly with him if you just ask him in a friendly way. Especially if you have other people around. Don't try to get him alone or do anything that might be misinterpreted. The sooner you get into a real relationship, the sooner you can relax. His brother sure was a jerk, though.

I am sure they both understand, and won't get freaked if you bump into them. You had a crush on him, that is a part of life, even though he has a girlfriend, at least now you know he does. I am sure that she doesnt mind it.

if anything he should be flattered and embarassed around you...you shouldn't be worrying if he'll punch you out or anything. but do becareful if you want to be friends with him your feelings might be rekindled and people may misunderstand you...now that you've put it out there you no longer have the benefit of the doubt people (such as his brother, gf) will be watching you closely.

lol ok well try and tell him about it. he shouldn't be mad unless his chick told him crap about it. other than that, he shouldn't be mad. just take it easy with him. don't be the one to ruin THEIR relationship. just chill and be friends. i'd rather still be your friend then lose your friendship over something like that.
it's kinda funny though
