Had to go to the ER last night because I was having contractions. They put me on a machine and said I was having minor contractions and then they did an exam and said I wasnt dialating so they sent me home. Today Ive been having the same pain just more often...is there anything I could do to make these more than MINOR contractions so when I go to the ER next time they do more than just send me back home? Or do I just have to wait it out?? Please help.

Afraid you will have to just wait it out... I know it can seem like eternity! When you notice the pains coming and going more regularly you should be in labor. Call the doctor when they are about 5 minutes apart!
You are only 35 weeks. You want to wait until you are at least 38. My third was born at 35 weeks and was considered a preemie and had to stay in the hospital 2 extra days because of jaundice (probably due to being early).
Best Wishes!

You are only 35 weeks. Let the baby have more time to grow. He/she will be here soon enough and you will be begging to put the baby back in!! Besides, you want to make sure you can take the baby home with you when you leave the hospital. It isn't fun leaving without your baby and having to go back and visit until he/she is big enough to leave. Relax and DRINK plenty of fluids. Hold off on those contractions!
Good Luck in 5 weeks!

Just wait it out. I know it's hard--I delivered my second daughter at 40 and a half weeks, but it's really what's best for the baby. At 35 weeks, a baby is still premature and the survival rate is excellent, but even 2 weeks later at 37 weeks it's much much better and the baby will likely face less in the way of complications. Hang in there, honey.

Backpain just comes with contractions.
If they thought it would be good for you to have the baby now, they would have taken action to progress your labor. They think its better to wait it out.
Unless the frequency increases so there's only about 5 minutes apart, you should just try to relax in bed for awhile and see if they subside. If it goes on too long, call them again-- they will eventually just induce you.

Take a warm shower, and wait it out. Try to keep yourself mildly busy to keep your mind off the pain. Light cleaning, organizing something, or even making something. Keeping yourself busy will keep your mind off of it a little, and it will help you pregress, the warm shower(not hot though will help alleviate pain. Just not too hot water, and dont do work that you cant handle, just a little bit. Wait as long as you can though.

It's all normal what you are describing. You want to go the full 40 weeks, better for your baby. Less complications.
Good Luck and congratulations. I wish you a healthy baby

You can try walking a lot or having sex, but most likely you are just going to have to wait it out. Trust me, I know its horrible waiting, but the baby will come whenever he/she wants.

Try walking. Sometimes helps ease the discomfort. Also they say it helps speed labor although i think that's an old wive's tale

I WOULD RING UP YOUR MATERNITY UNIT AND ASK FOR ADVICE AND THEY WOULD ADVISE YOU TO GO DOWN OR WHAT TO DO NEXT I WOULD TRY AND TIME YOUR CONTRACTIONS AND SEE HOW FAR APART THEY ARE... THEY NORMALLY ASK YOU TO COME IN IF THEY ARE 5 MINUTES APART OR LESS....good luck
