I agree with you to a certain extent. Baby boomers tended to be way to lax when it came to teach their children anything useful. "We wouldn't want to hurt their self esteem by using traditional discipline now would we?"

No, I don't think you can make that generalization at all.
I'm 57 and I've seen nothing to support that statement.
How a child develops is mostly dependent on the parents, yes, but I still say there's no factual evidence to support that statement.

just think how bad the boys are going to be in 10-20 years from now. kids no a days are lazy, disrespectful, materialistic - I'm glad i don't have to be there for that.
