why do most women hate there body?

i always see women complain about there own body, breasts, body fat etc. men don't have that high wantings

Maybe they want to look like the actresses and models even if they know it's not realistic. Magazines show hot women, and women want to be like them, or at least look like them.

I don't get it and I am a woman. We know it's not realistic but seriously, who wouldn't want the body of Jessica Alba? lol

We all have our hang ups. Different people stress different things. For a woman it may be her breast size, or a man it may be the size of his package or how flat his stomach is.

Everyone wants the perfect body. And sometimes, even when you come close, you still can't see it.

I think a lot of women have issues with their bodies is because people are cruel.... if you don't look the models boys don't want you... they call you fat or ugly... Not saying other girls aren't guilty of this because they are.
We are all different shapes and sizes and I think everybody should stop looking to tv and magazines to get their idea of beauty. Back in the old days a woman who had wide hips was considered beautiful because child birth would be easier for her. You see pictures of big women from the old days and even sculptures and they're considered things of beauty, yet put them in todays society and they get called names and nobody wants to be with them. I think we should revert back to the old days where there is no discrimination when it comes to the size of a woman....

That's just my opinion though...then again, what do I know I'm a big girl.

Women are SO image conscious because society makes them that way!

Look at ANY lingerie ad...what do you see? A perfect PLASTIC person. The vast majority of women do NOT have bodies even close to those models, but this is what they've been told they MUST look like in order to be societally accepted.

women are constantly comparing themselves to each other and to the computer modified women on TV, magazines and Internet. Since we were children the media has forced certain images and stereotypes on to us. Some women succeed and become what they believe is beautiful but that's after drastic measure from surgery to have eating disorders. No one is safe from this complex, if you ask around males suffer from image complexes too. Males are just not prone to speaking about them as openly as women are. We need to realize that what we see on TV and in magazines is not always real and to start passing on the thought that we are all beautiful in our own ways, no matter what and that change needs to start from each other.

women constantly want to be reassured that their bodies look good. personally i dont care what anyone thinks about my body, but other girls will have lower self-esteems when someone says they are fat or ugly.

It's the media pushing young women to look a certain way.
If their body don't conform to the current trends, thus you find women judging themselves.

it all comes down to two things!> "we are never happy with what we have" and woman are complicated! i know its sad that im saying this since i am a woman myself but i its the truth!. we have it and we want more, or when we get it we might not even want it anymore! lol we all want what we see on tv or magazines! but there is a lot on tv and magazines> different shape, different colors, short, tall, wavy, curly, staright.... etc
