the site is www.imvu.com.
i didn't used to have this problem, it only started today. when i go from page to page while on that site i sometimes get this error message:
Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site. (page name) Operation aborted.
does anyone have any idea where this came from and what i could possibly do to fix it?

Just glancing at that site's forums shows that other people have experienced the same thing. It seems like imvu had some security issues in the past 24 hours; they probably haven't quite gotten everything back to normal.
There's nothing you can do but be patient.

It sounds like you have a hijacker spyware that hijacks your backspace key, or your back arrow, or your Home page, or your web-browser. It wants to keep you on a certain site or a certain page to keep you trying to move & redirecting you back where you ewere, thus jacking up the hits on that page or site, thus putting up their popularity on the web. I would run a spyware scan, and then get rid of it. I think this is your problem. Ther are other things it could be, but I hope I'm right. Good luck.

Im having the same error on Imvu to i want to know how to fix it its been happening for 3 days now i might change to firefox instead to see if i still get an error like that...

sounds like the website is discontinue or under repair...
