need books really bad

I wuold try to look on craigslist. com and see if you find any there. They have a posting for free stuff and also a wanted section. You can also look into a used book store. Many times they are really nice and will often donate books.

If you put a box in a university with a sign over it asking for free books for a good cause, you'll get tons of books that are actually useful and informative.

I have tons of book we just gave away
your best idea is to post notes any and every where saying you need em and for free..........
Also with school about to get out hit the schools, they may even run an announcement in the school and take em up for you. alot of kids leaving for college and are loaded with books they are not leaving with mom or taking
Our son is leaving for the air force and we handed out over 100 books easy to who ever wanted em
Post in business and set up a drop box, GOOD LUCK

Go to www.craigslist.com, and post this. You are sure to get responses. Also, check with local libraries. My sister works in a library, and they do not accept all books for library use, and will often give them away to schools and organizations. She's been able to give me lots of good books for my classroom because of this. Good luck!

check to see if your local libraries have a day where they sell their books for really cheap or see if they will donate them to you.
You may even try to see if local colleges or tech schools would let you put a box in the student center to collect books that won't be used the next semester.
