I would not need to use the sticky tape for my project, just the egg carton and the cardboard.

Cut strips out of the box the same width as the egg slots. lay them in the slots. Fill with dirt, plant seeds. When seeds are big enough to transplant you can use the cardboard, that is now under the dirt, to gently pull or lift the plant out of the egg carton slots.

I have made small boxes, with the tops, to put small gifts in. It's easy if you know
how. I learned out to do it about 35 years ago. Cardboard tubes can be used to mail small magazines, papers. The boxes can be decorated quite nicely. you can cut out back cereal box ,tape ends together,if four tubes tape to each flat corner of box ,put egg holder part of carton in open box ,add potting soil in each egg holder,add seeds ,there you have a herb garden on legs.
