Didn't Edwards once say he would not run, unless his wife was given a clean bill of heath? I am not surprised that he strong armed her to appear with him at a press conference and then he put politics before family. That is typical of a dem. Do not be surprised though, he used to be an ambulance chaser.

Elizabeth plays a very important part in John's life. The couple had been sweethearts since college days. John has oft portrayed himself as a husband who will never let Elizabeth down, just like he has shown himself never letting dirty corporations taking down the most disavantaged folks in our society. I feel confident that if John has decided to continue his campaigning, he would have had discussions with Elizabeth and has her blessings. We have to see it as their decision to put the importance and the love of of the American People in priority... especially as America is in such a mess today as a result of the Bush Administration and the NeoCons' horrendous years of lies!

I salute John and Elizabeth for their admirable courage. They are parents who know that the future of America is not only about them, but about the future of their young children and the future of our American young people.

Hey what do the likes of Ann Coulter know? Coulter, especially, is childless and cares less what it ll means for parents who cares about the future of their very young ones. What do those connected with Halliburton and Big Corporations care? They believe more in outsourcing and putting their profits in foreign banks as a safety net and for their personal security... should America drowns!

Grow up. If your wife got cancer would you quit your job? Edwards says he will put his wife first and be with her when he can just like the rest of us in the same position.

Can you folks please move away from this need to personalize and personally attack candidates. Stick to the issues or shut the fu*k up

Hey, it's cancer. It's not like if John Edwards quits the race, it will go away. What are you suppose to do when someone gets cancer?

Right, anybody who doesn't give up there career aspirations because their wife is ill is just an egomaniac. He's not a oncologist (cancer doctor), how is quitting the campaign going to help his wife?

His wife wanted him to continue the race because as she said she feels he would make a great President. She is a very brave woman and he seems like a caring husband. Your question shows your ignorance and frankly disgusts me.

No, but this question is proof that you are only interested in pushing your agenda. MEMEMEMEMEMEMEME

I just took a look at your Q&A and my goodness you do have a mental disorder. I can understand why some people believe that some posters on here are paid. Why on earth would anyone be such a one trick pony. You are without a doubt brainwashed.

no, obviously you didnt watch the press conference nor did you do much reading. his wife claimed that she would not allow him to stop campaigning because of her because she believed in him. he would also say that if he was campaigning and she needed his attention and help, her health would come first and foremost and he would stop what he was doing to help her. check your facts before you start degrading somebody.

No, this is just today's republican talking point. It was his wife's decision and she said she was not going to sit in bed and feel sorry for herself.
