It took me about 16 months to get pregnant after going off Depo. I didn't notice my periods being any different when I went off compared to before I was on Depo.

I was on the shot for nearly four years and once i stopped the shot to become pregnant i done so 11 months later. My periods were no different before the shot.

Depo-Provera is not a good choice if you want to be pregnant in the next year or two. Why? Because it typically takes 9 to 10 months to become pregnant after you stop taking Depo-Provera as a contraceptive. It could even take up to 24 months after discontinuing use of Depo-Provera for you to become pregnant. The length of time you use Depo-Provera has no effect on how long it takes you to become pregnant.

Talk to your Dr. about how long to wait then double that before you try to get pregnant. We waited according to what my Dr. said two miscarriages later had a baby. Had a baby almost 2 years after getting off depo. I was on it for over a year spotted the whole time. Gained 25lbs. I will never use it again or recommend it.

i was also on depo for four years and it also stopped my periods. istopped the shot in Feb 2006 went to boot camp ( i am in the air force) then tech school the whole works didn't get my period until i finally got to japan. ( i live in japan) couldn't get pregnant until this January, now i am Happy to say i am pregnant, just keep in mind that everyone is different. also being on that pill can make you gain weight at least 3-4 pounds a year. i will admit i gained more.

Took me 18 months of trying before being tested...turns out the depo shot had stopped me from ovulating. I had to take clomid to get pregnant
