You all talk of lands, I ask of ideals and people seperate from rest of world, that set an example for rest of mankind to seek. Mexicans from the "Americas" are not americans, Native Americans are just that "natives" for they knew of no America, and if they were not so hypocritical today they would not even be Native Americans claiming to be sovereigns when they live off reservations and have as much white blood and mixed as do all the rest of us, claiming some form of dual citizenship yet in this land mass.
Thomas Paine: First man to use Term United States of America. first to write against slavery, cruelty towards animals,Equal rights for women, and while Washington Jefferson Franklin were still referrig to themselves as English subjects and not wanting to go against their king he made the argumetns tht Americans were seperate in ideals and mentality from British subjects.Published Common Sence first to give us unity, seperate states but united in a common cause, Love of liberty,

Pride of Independence and glory of success. His article of and case before Virginia to free slaves was the first Proclamation of Emancipation with Lincolns a far distant second.
His book Rights of Man gave the identity as to what Amercians could expect from being Independnet above kings and even governors.
There is much more this man did to set the character of nation and to fight against those who even days after end of Revolutionary war wanted to go back to old ways of beig British Colonialsit but under theri won brand, he aroused in man the forces of REASOn agaisnt church and state dominin over mankind.
Now if only one such as he could be found today. Too late for he warned of the natural propensity of mankind to enslve itself, surrendering to superstitions of church, rulers and economies.
"Congratualtions", you have proven him right.

The Italian mapmaker, Amerigo Vespucci, was the first man to publish an account of the "New World", based on his limited travels there (1497). At that time, everyone knew it wasn't INDIA or CHINA, but the new world had no name.
From Vespucci's travels and early map making in 1504? An Austrian mapmaker , Waldseemuller, was able to produce the FIRST MAP using the word America...in 1507. Later This was the first map made with moveable type and copper engraving techniques.(1522)
Almost the same time, 1522, Sebastian Munster's woodblock map showed "Americani" and North and South Continents appeared attatched.
and the name AMERICA caught on. And the people where eventually referred to as 'Americans'.

AMERIGO... with a G....not Americo. Vespucci did not create ANY MAPS OF THE NEW WORLD... ever. Amerigo Vespucci did not give his OWN name to any map or any land mass. This is a fact. It came from an error....read on.

Only describing them in his travel notes. Waldseemuller incorrectly gave credit to Vespucci for discovering the New World in 1504, but later admitted his error.
