If you use the cash back option, the rate that they have to charge is:
15% on the first $300 of refund
5% of every dollar above $500
So on a $500 refund you would pay $55 to have your taxes done and to receive your refund immediately.
The rates charged are set by the Tax Rebate Discounting Act.

If you want to get your refund ASAP, try netfiling your own tax return through http://www.intuit.ca
If your net family income is less than $20,000.00 per year, you would get to file for free under the
Quick Web freedom program.
If you have a simple, straight forward return, why go to a preparer? Chances are, you can file it yourself and get the refund within 10 business days from CRA.
Hope this helps you.

they don't take a percentage they charge you a fee,if you want your refund faster about 4 weeks instead of 6 apply with direct deposit and you can sometimes get it in 3 weeks after mailing, don't waste your money buy paying the rapid refund fees it is not worth it. if you need cash really fast go to a friend or family member and write them a post dated check for the amount you borrow then you can get your money and they are guaranteed theirs it is a win-win situation.
