there are three main ways,
1 with bi carb of soda and lemon juice,
2 with a special cloth
3 helmet polish, what they use in the army and guards in buckingham palace use it!
* NEVER USE VINIGER
it can take of the basic enammel of the silver leaving it to go that grey black colour and it smells bad.

I just read in a magazine to boil some potatoes in water and then remove the potatoes, let the water cool, then soak silver in water left over. This supposedly removes tarnish from silver.
Not sure if it really works, I haven't tried it yet.

I use hot water and a squirt of washing up liquid - if you rub the item for a few moments it will be sparkling.
I wear only silver and that is what I always use.

You can buy a special cloth at a jewellers which has been soaked in stuff which cleans jewellery. Can't remember how much they are but they last ages if you keep them sealed when you're finished with it.
