Is there a poison, like roach poison that I can spread outside to prevent them, or kill them? Sometimes at night they end up coming inside my house.

June bug.......the beetle? They overwinter in the soil so control begins out there, not against the house. They are attracted to lights so have a light on well away from the house. Keep your windows covered at night so they won't be attracted to the house lights. I'm not sure they feed in their adult life stage, so many poisons are useless.

If you want to try boric acid around the outside of your home, go ahead. You'll have to replace it each time it rains.

I guess I'm wondering how they get inside......sounds like a mission to seal all possible openings.

Of course, we could be talking about different "June" bugs........

They are attracted to your lights. As long as you have outside lights turned on, or the lights in your house turned on they will keep coming. Treating the yard for 'grub worms' will help. This years grubs become next years 'June bugs'.
