Actually, there are more than 3 Democrats running for President in 2008. The media has been only been focusing on the big name candidates and leaving out the lesser known ones. 8 Democrats have either filed with the FEC (Senator Joe Biden, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Former Senator John Edwards, Former Senator Mike Gravel,, Represnetative Dennis Kucinish, and Senator Barack Obama) or formed an exploratory committee (Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico). 11 Republicans have either filed with the FEC (Senator Sam Brownback, John H. Cox of Illinois, Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Representative Duncan Hunter, Senator John McCain, Representative Ron Paul, and Former Governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney) or formed exploratory committees (Former Governor Jim Gilmore, Former Governor Mike Huckabee, Representative Tom Tancredo, and Former Governor Tommy Thompson) .

I think your point is that in a country of 300 million people why isn't there more choice? It takes so much money to run that many qualified candidates have backed out already or haven't even bothered to try. Some politicians said a few months ago that they were starting "exploratory" committees -- basically that was to see if they could raise enough money. Vilsack and Feingold for example, made such announcements but quit after a couple of weeks.

It's a shame that we're just left with the candidates who are either rich to start with or who can somehow attract millions in donations. . I've read that over one billion will be spent on the 2008 presidential race.

What's the office? For things like local library board, it's probably just the dominant party in the neighborhood. The more local you get, the more limited the perspectives offered. Where I live, there's frequently only ONE person running in the general election - but again, it's things like town deeds clerk, etc.

You are kidding, right? First of all this question should read, "Why are there only 3 democrats running for president?" Secondly, why don't you pick up a paper or google for heaven's sake.

How come you aren't got good English?

There's actually a lot more than three Demmies running for office, and it's because they all tried to jump the gun on each other. If you missed as much school as Hillary's missed time in the Senate, they'd have flunked you. Edwards missed 70% of the votes when he was in the Senate because he was too busy suing doctors. How much has Obama missed? How about Hairplugs Biden?

It's March of 2007. The primaries don't even start for another nine months, and the election doesn't even happen for another 20. That could have something to do with it.

If you watch tv or read the papers that is all you will get. If you want the truth you will have to search outside of the MSM.
