I am wondering if Stacey Keach ever played in a series back in the 80's or early 90's, where he played a detective in Las Vegas during the 60's. The opening song was always "Runaway" sung by a 50-60's singer.....I think his name was Dion and he had comitted suicide around the 90's. Any help would be appreciated......a bet is riding on the answer.....Thanks.

You have it partially right. Stacy Keach did play a detective on t.v., but the show was Mike Hammer. The Las Vegas-set show with Del Shannon's "Runaway" as the theme song was Crime Story, with Dennis Farina.

I believe the show you are talking about set in vegas was with dennis farino and was called crime story-stacy keach was in MIke Hammer.

Sorry to burst your bubble. But Stacy Keach was in Mickey Spillane's, Mike Hammer. Your probably thinking of another show that was call Crime Story. I do not know or i forgot what the actor's name who originally played in it
