Easier to maintain, access to most areas being quite simple but one or two disadvantages: firstly, they tend to be more expensive on a cost per square metre basis (the roof and foundation cost being divided by only one floor) and the circulation area tends to be greater, giving slightly less living space but having said all that, there are fewer built, so they do appreciate slightly better.

The best advantages in buying a bungalow to me is that there is no stairs to climb and even better if it has its own grounds. A house well I would not mind either because I live in a tenement and living in either, well that would be BLISS to me.

It all depends what you want. I like having my bedrooms upstairs cos they are out the way and kept separate to the living area. A lot of older people prefer bungalows because there are no stairs. I'd say it's all about personal preference

Can you define bungalow? In the Midwest states a bungalow is a house. Colonials, Cape Cods, Ranch Styles, Georgian Colonials etc are all houses.

They will always be more expensive than normal hourses as they for one don't make them anymore - only 3 storeys now! (they can squish more in that way!) Older people like them and they also normally have bigger plots.

I live in a dormer bungalow so it does have an upstairs but they are nice, hoovering is so much easier now!

i was witness of people building 4 houses in my life, every single house was promised to be done on time but alway was delayed by 3-6 months. sometimes you want new house and u can not find new construction in location you want, and sometimes you don't have time to wait till constructions finished. New construction are great , because it is new ( in most of the times) , but it is a big headache. Some times headache is are not gonne when you moved in to the house. Just need to be very detailed with new place. Pay attention to what you want, not what construction manager or builder telling you.
