The embryo (its too early to be called a fetus) is basically aborted for two reasons - 1) the location it has implanted cannot suport the pregnancy, and 2) it will harm the mother if left untreated.
Ectopic pregnancy, when left untreated, will grow to the point where the fallopian tube ruptures and you can bleed to death easily.
Even if the tube didnt rupture, it can't get enough nutrients to develop properly unless its in the uterus. And they can't relocate it to the uterus (not at this point in medical science).
There is also a theory that if the embryo implanted in the wrong place, something could be wrong with it anyway.

Yes its totally possible. My auntie had an ectopic pregnancy and nearly died from the blood loss, she had a tube removed and thankfully was fine. Her and her husband got a divorce but had a holiday booked in new york. They slept together once and ended up conceiving my cousin and my auntie has polycystic ovaries aswell (not sure if thats spelt right). Against all the odds she conceived a beautiful healthy baby girl! This was about a year and a half after the ectopic pregnancy. Good luck with everything. If my auntie could conceive Im sure you will too! Never give up hope, it may take a little longer than usual but Im sure you will have a baby soon. Take care and all the best! xxxx

No, there is no saving a fetus in an ectopic pregnancy. With a normal pregnancy, the fetus attaches itself inside your uterus. An ectopic pregnancy is when, for some reason the fetus never makes it into the uterus and attaches to the fallopian tube instead. The procedure to remove it kills the fetus, but if it is not removed you could be the one to die from internal bleeding when the fetus got big enough to burst your fallopian tube.

No, sadly the fetus can not be saved in this case. It must be aborted using a shot of Methotrexate, or if it is too large, then surgically removed.

The fetus cannot survive outside of the womb.
I had an ectopic and my fallopian tube ruptured and I had to have emergency surgery.
If you suspect you have an ectopic, please call or go to your doctor immediately, it is a very dangerous condition.

I always heard it aborted, BUT... I do know a lady who SOMEHOW had her baby. I don't know the details, though, but she did have an ectopic pregnancy and still had him...... Might want to ask a doctor, though...

I'm sorry but the baby can't be saved and your health would be in danger as well.
When it goes into the Fallopian tube like that, no room to grow and a rupture will
happen. It's extremely dangerous.

No, there is no way to save the baby. It has already attached and can not be moved. Catching it early will save the fallopian tube though.

Hmm, that's a good one. But i don't think that they can save the baby, i think they have to take the baby out of the tubes and remove it. Don't quote me on that, that's just what i've heard.
