My son has stated that the most recent giant squid story is inaccurate and the photo used is digitally enhanced because fisherman really could not catch a squid that big even with chains. I just want to prove to my smarty pants son that his theory is wrong and I need help to do that. Do you believe that the photo of the giant squid is malarkie or not and why?

It is 100% real. This is the second one that they have captured in the past few months.
If the pictures were inhanced the people in the picture with the squid would look freakish as well.

Okay...my son will be home in an hour and a half...and we'll let them debate. My son SWEARS it's real. We (like yourself) have had MANY discussions about that stupid squid.

your son is just a smarty pants know-it-all. you should take him to a marine biologist, museums, and aquariums to find the answer.

my son couldn't care less, but I think it's real. why would they mess with the pictures? more than one has been found, so they must exist.
