Read "Man's Search for Meaning" by Dr. Viktor Frankl. It's widely available in paperback and is explains cognitive therapy very well. It's a wonderful book that uses Dr. Frankl's experiences in a Nazi concentration camp as the subject for the first part of the text. I've recommended this book to many people and have even given copies as gifts.

Sit on a mountain of reflection, and soon the answer will come grasshopper.
But seriously, why are you asking random people on the internet to help you find your purpose in life. Get off of the computer and DO something... maybe that'll give you a few ideas.

It is one of the greatest mysteries of human existence that we do not find a purpose for our lives, rather the purpose for our lives finds us. Our mission is to cultivate attentiveness, receptivity, and the requisite wisdom and knowledge, so that when the moment of our purpose comes, we do not miss that opportunity.

You can't just find it; like u find your lost scuba gear and stuff. You have to feel it in you. Once you know that that feeling you've had since birth is the purpose of your life, that's when u find what ur looking for. (ugh can't believe i've just said all that)

Only you can answer that one.
Sure, it's always a good thing to be benevolent and helpful to others, no matter who you are, but to find your "calling," you have to decide WHAT it is that you have a real passion about.
It doesn't have to be rocket science or medicine; it can be something like coin collecting or bird watching.
Just sit down and ask yourself what it is that you love the most, also what it is that you DO the best.

Soul searching are we? Just take some time to yourself-because that is where you will find your answers, if you are a religious person than you might want to reflect on that as well. Good luck with your journey.

By knowing the purpose of life...
The Meaning of Life is To Give Life.
For The Meaning of Life is the answer to this question:
God, what is Your purpose of Existence?
For God's purpose of Existence itself defines the purpose of all that exists.
I asked God that question...
God answered, "My purpose of Existence is To give life. Since you are made in My image after My likeness, then YOUR purpose of existence is to give life."
Everything that exists is an expression of God's thinking; thus, everything reflects God's thinking.
God gives life by His unique existence, and receives life when He gives life. All of existence gives life by its unique existence to that which receives life from its unique existence. This is Nature - the union of all living (eternal) things.
You are here to give life by your unique existence to that which receives life from your unique existence. So do what you love that nourishes those who love what you love.
This is your purpose.
To give life.
