Show them Alaska...

Alaska's higher education institutions are the best kept secret in the land. They are tops; and Alaska has so much more to offer.

Having lived in Alaska for a year, I suggest you go happily. It is a great place with many outdoor activities. The winters are harsh but not worse than say Minneapolis. Enjoy your trip and Alaska and make it a fun time.

I moved to Alaska 3 years ago and love it! My kids love the schools here. They offer a great variety of classes and have pretty high standards. Give it a try!

There are 10 men for every woman in Alaska. Finding a date will NOT be a problem. You ain't left yet?

Just tell them. If they are going to Alaska (I don't know why else you would have to go there), you will probably still have to go, unless you are near or past your 18th birthday.
