i have an 89 chevy berreta. it will not stay running, i have a brand new battery, and the alenator is passing.

its like when i cut the lights on, the interior lights go dem. as well as when the i cut the radio, it does the same thing. the car lose power. could it be a bad wire

Alternator, regulator, or battery, new battery can be bad take it to Auto Zone they do charging circuit test free.

My sister had this problem once with one of her cars it was the starter in her car believe it or not changed the starter and no longer had the problem.

it might also be a sensor.

some garages will analyze cars for a small fee, I would try that.
